Spay/neuter is for healthy cats and dogs ONLY.
- Dogs and cats must be a minimum of 16-weeks-old.
- Spay services are not available for female dogs 7-yrs and older and female cats 10-yrs and older.
- Vaccines and microchipping are available during spay/neuter surgery.
- Payment in full is required for all appointments.
- YOUR CREDIT CARD WILL BE CHARGED WHEN APPOINTMENT IS MADE.
**Important - DOG SPAY/NEUTER
- When scheduling your appointment, you must click
'ADD SERVICE'
button and select your dog's weight range on
'Step 5 Confirm Your Appointment'
page.
If you have multiple pets you would like to schedule on the same day and there is only one appointment available please call the front desk at 208-772-4019.
Important Information!
Drop off times: Cat and dog drop off is from 8:00 - 8:45 AM on a first come first serve basis.
- Check-in can take up to 60 minutes. Plan your morning accordingly.
- Feral cat S/N check-in is 8:45-9:00 AM. Ferals that arrive earlier than 8:45 AM will have to wait.
Text 208.510.0496 when you arrive. Wait in your vehicle with your pet. Do not text more than once.
If unable to text, leave your pet in the car and come to the Lobby door.
Cats must be in a clean, secure carrier or kennel with a towel or blanket. Cardboard carriers will not be accepted!
All dogs must be on a leash.
Pick up: Do not text upon arrival. Come into the Lobby.
- Dogs are released starting after 2:00 PM by phone call or text ONLY.
- Cats are released between 5:00-5:30 PM. You will NOT be called for pick up.
- Feral cats will begin being released at 5:30.
Additional Costs
- Cryptorchidism (Inguinal/Abdominal): $25 cat/ $50 per testicle dog
- Flat face (Brachycephalic) breed dogs/cats: $50
Antiemetic injection recommended (in some cases required)..............$15 per 20lbs
Dog breeds (mixes included) and not limited to: Affenpinscher, Boston Terrier, Brussels Griffon, Boxer, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, English Bulldog, French Bulldog, Japanese Chin, Lhasa Apso, Mastiff, Pekingese, Pug, Shar Pei, Shih Tzu. Cat breeds (mixes included) and not limited to: British Shorthair, Burmese, Exotic Shorthair, Himalayan, Persian, Scottish Fold, Selkirk Rex.
- In heat (dogs only): $40
- Pregnant/Overweight/Old: $50
- Umbilical hernia repair: $50
- Aggressive dog fee: $50 or higher at CAC discretion
- Other surgery: cost at CAC discretion

Appointment Cancellation/Reschedule Policy
If you cannot make your scheduled appointment, email frontdesk@companionsanimalcenter.org or call 208.772.4019 at the latest, by noon on the Saturday prior to your appointment.
- There is no reschedule fee for the first appointment cancellation/reschedule.
- Second appointment cancellation/reschedule you will be charged $20.
- No appointment reschedules are offered after the second reschedule. Your voucher will be void and no refund will be offered. You will have to purchase a new voucher.
